About the Maine Artist

I was born and raised in Central Maine. It is a true blessing living in this state. The ever changing
landscape enhanced by the dramatic change of the
seasons has so much to offer an artist.

Having tried several types of media, watercolor tends
to be my favorite. I love what transpires when color
and water collide – creating a unity of both intense and
subdued colors within a piece. To me, the flow of
watercolor can be a mystical experience – at times
unpredictable – which can be very exciting.

Painting offers me an opportunity to capture the
beauty of something in my own artistic viewpoint which
creates an emotional connection to each individual piece.

Still life, flowers and landscapes tend to be my favorite subjects.

Currently, I am working on a collection of children’s story books in which I have drawn on my
childhood memories as the inspiration.
